Welcome to National NewsLitCamp: Misinformation!

This very special NewsLitCamp, as part of National News Literacy Week from Jan. 24 - 28, 2022, is a virtual event designed to to help students understand, recognize and avoid misinformation. Sessions will include insights from expert journalists nationwide, along with the opportunity to connect and share directly with other educators in small, virtual breakout rooms.

Educators who join NewsLitCamp: Misinformation will leave the day with new ideas, skills and resources to help students navigate today’s complex and challenging information landscape and demystify what distinguishes quality journalism from rumors, hoaxes and other types of misinformation.

A note for West Coast educators: Can’t make the early morning sessions? Join us for repeat versions of our Teaching News Literacy and NLP Resource sessions, starting at 4 p.m. PT (7 p.m. ET). See the full schedule below for more details.
